I have been wanting to try jollof rice for a long time so when I saw Ayo's kitchen stall at the Lexicon market, I thought of giving this a try. I ordered jollof rice with beef and puff puff. The flavor of the rice was amazing - finger licking good. Beef was so juicy and had the perfect texture. Puff puff reminded me of Kerala bonda so it sort of reminded me of home. The only let down was that they had ran out of plantain by the time we ordered. Nevertheless, the lady serving the food was exceptionally sweet and courteous. Wouldn't mind coming back for more.
The food was sooo yummy that i was so excited to eat until I nearly finished I forgot to take a photo for the review . The owner was so friendly and helpful, the rice was banging, the beef is tender, well seasoned, all the ingredients go so well together. The only thing that it’s bit overpriced for one person to eat frequently as a take out, but I will definitely order more to try other dishes. Nigerian’s cuisine is now into my favourite list

The meal was superb. The meat was the best part. The portions were very nice and worth the price. The puff was very good. I ordered Jollof rice and meat. Also ordered Egusi. All I can say is Ayo's food is one the best Nigeria restaurant foods I've had. The meals are homely, tasty, moderately priced and come in reasonable portions. Customer service is equally superb, as Ayo is quick to respond or adjust to customer needs. Let's say the food is 100% worth driving far to collect.
Absolutely delicious jollof! I had chicken and rice and it was so tender and flavourful. I've actually got a cold but all the flavours still came through it's that good!! The spice was amazing and it was really aromatic and sweet and the tomato sauce was just perfection. I wanted to try the plantain but it was a bit too much extra for me for a lunch meal but hopefully next time. Really easy to order direct on WhatsApp, then a bank transfer and I went to pick it up. Very pleased I ordered today - thank you for a delicious lunch!

I tried their Egusi soup, Okra soup with assorted meat, Pounded Yam, Jollof Rice with Plantain and meatpie each dish was absolutely bursting with flavor. The food was fresh, authentic, and prepared with such care that it felt like I was enjoying a homemade meal cooked with so much love!
